How to make a wind chime out of recycled bottle caps. This is a great way to create a colorful vintage look wind chime that can be used indoor or out. A fun trash to treasure project! Creating from recycled items can result in amazing things. This week, I created a wind chime made from metal bottle caps, jewelry jump rings, and an old metal basket. Junk never looked so good! Hope you enjoy this DIY project! I was inspired to make this project by the many bottle caps I have saved throughout the year. I thought this would be a cute and fun project to hang on my back porch. The supplies needed for this project are simple!

Personally, I chose to only add chains to the outside of my center piece, but I may go back and add additional chains one day soon. In the wind the caps make an awesome noise on the tubing, a very chaotic musical ensemble. Try to vary the colors as best as you can as you go. They need to accommodate both edges of the caps.
