Cult of The Vault is a type of challenge in Borderlands 2with each completion of the challenge giving a small amount of Badass Rank. The number of Vault symbols in every location varies from 0 to 5, as indicated on the Challenges window in the Badass Rank page of the ECHO communicator interface.

There are Vault Symbols hidden all over Pandora. Finding all of them in a certain area will grant you extra Badass Points. They unveil the fact that there's more than one Vault. Images can be clicked on to view larger versions. Be sure to check out the Interactive Maps for the exact locations of each Vault Symbol. Find the first complete bridge with a train on it and it is located on the left hand side pillar.

Cult of the Vault is a series of challenges available in many areas of Pandora and Elpis. Completing the challenge for each area requires all of the hidden Vault symbols in that area to be interacted with, and these vary in number from a single Vault symbol in some areas to several in most. Once each of the symbols in a given area have been tagged in this manner, the Cult of the Vault challenge for that area is complete. The symbols are usually well hidden, either concealed or in hard to reach places. They can be on any flat surface, be it wall, ceiling, or floor. The sizes of Vault symbols can vary also, with most being a large circle, while a few are extra large or quite small.
