So in Liverpool a couple of nights, have our favourite restaurant booked for one night, cant decide what we want to eat so this place fits the bill - all cuisines under the one roof Pretty busy for a week night but we had booked But hey we have been to places like this before so knew what to expect At first look there seems to be a pretty impressive array of food on display and I do have to say, it was all looking fresh and tidy and pretty appetising. However a lot of it is deep fried or in cloying sauces or carb heavy. Trying to watch the salt and fat content, we had to be very picky However we managed to find ourselves a plate of appetisers and to be fair, they were all good, some of which we went and collected again For our main dishes we chose to keep to the fresh cooked sections where we had steak, salmon and prawns, cooked to order in front of us, how we wanted and whilst it was time consuming, the food was really nice. Plenty of salad bar selections and even a cheese board and we were well stuffed All in all we had a nice meal, a bit ad hoc, but then thats the way of buffets, you take what you like, no rules about what has to be on the plate There are a zillion or so it seems good eating places in Liverpool and whilst this would never be a first choice for me, its not bad, good value for the money and I probably would go back if we had a night of not know what we wanted to eat More. Came on a Monday lunchtime and was told that there was a 20 mins wait when we first came so we thought just come back in bit, but there was still a 15 mins wait then too as of course more people had come in I wouldnt leave it too near the end of service as we did notice that some people came in not long before we were told had 15 mins to go and get any food we wanted. But we were onto sweet by then anyway so it was fine but I thought the people who hadnt that long come in would struggle to get stuff. The drinks are extra and you just go to the bar but you can ask for a refill for soft drinks and you just get a glass and then help yourself to the soft drinks.
