The Air Canada plane had so much more room and so much nicer. This seat has a wide footwell but no overhead compartment for storage. Window is perfectly aligned with this row and once reclined, you can lean against the panel behind which has no window. Slightly more legroom in fact this legroom should be standard and minimum but still not comfortable. This is a bonus only in row 1 and 6. It is a bulkhead, so you get a decent amount of legroom. I agree that the first row 1A was noisy and the light from the galley also bothered me. Access to aisles from 1D and 1E wife and I traveling together was wonderful. We were in 2K 2L 3K 3L. If there is a big size guy sitting next to me, it will be hell for us for 17 hours. This review for Air Canada is for all 4 flights, so it doesn't seem that it was an isolated occasion. No overhead storage directly above the seat.

Some people may be bothered by the noise from the bathroom and galley. It's been a long time since I've flown long-haul with United, and hopefully it will be a long time before I have to fly with them again! USB ports are available for every seat in the aircraft. I'll definitely book another flight on the UA if it's convenient and at a good price. Luckily the one in my row was quiet the whole time. Made for a bearable 10hr flight. In all classes of this aircraft, there is a wide array of audio entertainment. It literally felt like my head was being cooked! Very good design chosen by Air Canada for its modernised fleet. There are several storage lockers which the crew will open and close noisily in the galley right in front of this seat. Plenty of storage, especially since an entire overhead bin is available for each passenger.
