Bmw glove box repair
Remember Me? BMW Models. Results 1 to 17 of Thread Tools Show Printable Version. I removed the under dash cover today to fix the tilt wheel on the steering column. It appears the plastics underneath are coming apart, and there is a weird yellow glue. What type of glue is this and where can i get it? I have the same problem with the glovebox, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, JSGrind. Do a search for sagging glovebox but don't expect permanant results unless you decide to replace the entire glovebox. Its impossible to say what that yellow stuff is or even guess what it used to be. Ive had the tilt section apart before and I recall any yellow stuff.
I just did my door panels and had to do some trimming the next day as it has foamed out a bit.

Sign my guestbook! Does your E38's over-engineered glovebox fall to open after you pull the handle? When pulled forward, does it fail to remain extended?

Which if you can find a self tapper with a really thing head seams to work the best for that You definitely need to use clamps and I recommend applying the glue a little at a time, clamping, then applying more next to the clamp and repeating until you have everything clamped together around the glue. Removing the glove box should give me enough space to work on it. I used 3M spray on trim adhesive. Its amazing stuff that is designed to keep the windshild attached to the car even in a violent crash or a roll over where the roof gets smashed. Going to fix it next week. Sorry to bring this post back after a few months hiatus, but I am new to this group and will be picking up my new to me X3 this week.

By The Tick in forum - E The 3M window weld is now my go-to glue for anything that is going to be permanent, it cures fast, does nto expand, and is easy to spread. Find More Posts by Max Well. My present candidate for the door panel, given my tools and temperament, is a two-part MMA adhesive with a minute pot life.
In my opinion you are not right. I can prove it. Write to me in PM, we will discuss.
