All three teams faced stiff competition in round robin play with only CORE earning a spot in the semi-finals on Sunday. In the morning game CORE met a determined team from St Albert who battled back from a two goal deficit in the fourth quarter to take the game into overtime. Overtime was a tight checking affair with chances at both ends of the ice. The bronze medal game was a classic barn burner with Zone 2 jumping out to a two goal lead midway through the third quarter only to have CORE battle back with four unanswered goals, taking a two goal lead late into the fourth quarter. Zone 2 made it interesting cutting the deficit to one with just over a minute left to play but CORE halted the comeback to take home the Bronze.
