On Sunday, November 19th, the world lost one of its most vibrant souls as Marco DiDomenico of Hamilton, Ontario, left us at the age of 46, doing what he did best-pushing the limits and embracing life with a joyous spirit. Marco, a true warrior, jester, and lover of all things, transitioned after conquering his most audacious personal challenge high in the mountains of Ecuador. With his piercing blue eyes and a heart as open as the sky, Marco faced extreme conditions to commune with nature, and in doing so, he felt transformed and ready to soak up all the goodness life had to offer upon his return home. With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family of Joseph Angelo Ricci announces his peaceful passing on Thursday, September 21st, , at Juravinski Hospital, surrounded by his loving children. The family relocated to Hamilton to ensure a solid education for their boys. It was during his time at Hamilton Teachers College that Joseph met Madeline, and in , they began their lifelong journey together. He also leaves behind his brothers, Jim Diane Ricci, and the memory of his late brother, Peter Ricci. Joseph was cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, past students, and colleagues. Joseph's journey in education began as a classroom teacher with the HWCDSB and later included roles as an outdoor education teacher, vice-principal, and principal. After two decades of service, he sought further growth and joined the DPCDSB, where he served as an assistant Superintendent and then Superintendent of schools.
