Battlegrounds cards

Battlegrounds is a game mode where eight players face off in 1v1 rounds, with the goal to be the last player standing. Each round consists of two phases. The Recruit Phase lets players purchase and sell minions, upgrade the tavern, use their hero power , and rearrange their minions' attack order. Combat Phase has minions automatically attacking the opponents' until one player or both has no minions remaining, at which point the victor attacks the loser. Like Mercenaries , Battlegrounds has a set of cards totally unique to itself although many are functionally identical to collectible cards as well as a pool of specialized heroes. All Battlegrounds cards are available from the beginning. Battlegrounds is significantly different from all other constructed play modes in Hearthstone , featuring completely different mechanics from anything previously seen. There is no mana : instead, the only resource is Coins similar to the Bartender Bob , Bartendotron , and Bazaar Bob encounters from previous Single-player adventures. All minions cost 3 Coins, with the power of minions instead dictated by their Tavern Tier, shown in the usual place of mana on the card interface. This is a purple square on the upper-left with gold stars. Minions do not attack the opponent directly - rather, surviving minions add Tavern Tier to the hero's attack once the round is over. Battlegrounds was first revealed at BlizzCon on November 1, where attendees could try out the new game mode first-hand.

Battlegrounds is the brand new Hearthstone mode inspired by the Auto-Battle genre and introduced during the last BlizzCon! It's a bit like Teamfight Tactics or Dota Underlords , but overall Battleground is quite a different game: it's seemingly a hybrid version, taking the best out of Hearthstone's CCG and mixing it with elements that might be compared to autobattlers. Eight players are gathered to fiercely battle in the Battlegrounds! Pick your hero among a set of 33 Heroes, and slowly assemble lineup made of cards to battle against others — until one last man stands! Spells have Tavern Tiers just like minions do, but, unlike minions, they also have variable costs! Spells have their own card frame while in the Tavern, displaying both the Cost and Tavern Tier.
