She teaches the Active over 50s in conjunction with the Central Coast Health Promotion Unit for the prevention of osteoporosis, diabetes, heart disease, and falls prevention. She teaches the intellectually handicapped, and vision impaired, and at schools for PE: electives and their social dancing. Helen was honoured with two special achievements in her professional capacity one was being asked to partner with the author of the New Vogue Sequence Dancing, Neville Boyd, in the very first New Vogue and English Old Time technique Video Presentations that were introduced throughout Australia and overseas.

Argentine Tango relies heavily on improvisation and is danced in an embrace that can vary from very open, in which leader and follower connect at arms length, to very closed, in which the connection is chest-to-chest, or anywhere in between.
