News News Jan 5, After a warm start to the winter, the town of Avon is bringing ice skating back to Nottingham Lake. Avon Public Operations and Recreation Department staff are working hard to open the ice rink next week with a target date of Monday, Jan. The opening date is contingent upon weather and ice rink conditions over the next few days. The town of Avon is planning to operate the ice rink from early January through early March, though the dates may be adjusted based on staffing, weather or ice conditions. The Recreation Department manages the ice rink and provides skate rentals and concessions out of the Metcalf Cabin in Harry A.

With skate sessions between 11am and 9pm you can glide by day and spin into the night with our DJ and special lighting effects. Apres-skate at our bar and enjoy a festive feast or seasonal treats while you soak up the atmosphere. The playbarn will be open until 4pm and is open for skate ticket holders only.
