This passion for fine wines and the ever-expanding wine cellar of the Aurora has led to the opening of the centrally located Vino , a fabulous wine bar with an impressive exposition of wines, which, from day one, has proved to be extremely popular with locals and visitors to the island alike. I regret not having tried the pizzas, but the dishes were quite good. Maybe I expected much but I would recommend it.

Suffice it to say that, when I was introduced to her, she proved as charming as she is famous. The napery and the crockery are both white, as I like them. Members of staff wear black — an intelligent choice, for it sets off the colourful clothes of the diners.

The Aurora Restaurant and Pizzeria is one of Capri's oldest restaurants. For more than a century the D'Alessios have continued to promote the culinary traditions of the island, creating what has been referred to as a kind of "gastronomical museum" lovingly curated by 3 successive generations of the family.
