During the Peloponnesian War , Spartans , who were allies of Korinthia, utilized this helmet for many of their own designs, and due to the war, the helmet was also a common sight in the inventories of blacksmiths. Despite becoming militarily obsolete, this helmet was still worn for aesthetic reasons by gladiators like The Hoplite and bodyguards like Hypatos in Ptolemaic Egypt. The Korinthian Helmet, a helmet in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey , has three different variants in the game. The first, plainest variant, is the same as a variant of the Spartan Soldier's Helmet , except its crest.
