Toggle Theme. Archives of Nethys. I know it's been a while since I've checked in on this side of the Archives and I wanted to provide some updates. We don't have too much new for you with this post - we refreshed our database with a few bug fixes the team has checked in, but there's nothing too major to report. The big news I did have was to announce that we've brought on a new team member named Tim! Tim is a Canadian engineer and avid gamer who loves RPGs and spreadsheets. To support the recent influx of new Pathfinders and Starfinders, he will be helping us with some much needed updates to the Pathfinder 1e side of the Archives.

It is not for profit although does accept donations to support it , which means that the person who does the website is allowed to post setting specific info and names which makes checking stuff from books easier. I always try to use AoN, but since it is essentially a one man crew he can't update everything as quickly as d I think he just finished Ultimate Wilderness. That's not slow by any means, but for a lot of more recent books you'll have to use d I personally dislike the layout and navigation for d20, AoN is much more intuitive for me. I don't think AoN cover third party, so there is that too. Unfortunately they're not particularly quick on updating. You also have to be careful designing PFS characters because, as MageHunter pointed out, they rename things. AoN has by far the better structure for deities and clerical domains and subdomains. I always double-check both. AoN has better quality information. The don't rewrite the rules to "clarify" them. They don't have to get rid of setting specific information.

Feb 5,pm. This month brings the second part of Quest for the Frozen Flame, which comes with some interesting new alchemical items and rules on creating the megafauna type of creature. For those unaware, you can change AoN's color scheme by accessing the Archives of nethys options in Shelyn's Corner, located at the top right of the site.

We're sorry it took us this long - the team gets very busy this time of year and it's hard to predict when we can get the new releases done. As some of you may have seen, we put out the word for a new person to help with data entry here and are hoping to onboard them in the new year. That should help us keep up with the remaining SF1e releases and prep for the upcoming 2nd edition release.

This will help us get things up to speed sooner rather than later. AON is good for looking up PFS legal stuff, and I like that the alternate race abilties are separated out by what they replace.
