I am a dance artist who focuses her movement research on the unpredictable nature of improvisational play and the structural familiarity of narrative movement. I investigate narrative through historical research. Utilizing the art of film, visual production, theatre, and musical compositions, I create a collage of multiple viewpoints within a movement sketch.

This often results in athletic, quirky, and engaging work. I find what qualitative movements are repeated in improvisation, investigate why, and conclude its connection within the work as a whole. In Risk of Play, Daniels invites the audience to partner in the storytelling process. This gripping hybrid of performance, dance theater and play generates a full-bodied experience that thwarts expectations of conventional storytelling. Each performance results in a different outcome, creating a charge of spontaneity and raw performance that is crafted in the moment by performers and audiences together. Chance is the name of the game and, in this work, everybody wins. A collaborative exploration of the capabilities of Zoom for a dance concert setting. Sections of this project discovers new thoughts, tricks, and innovations within this new platform of performance. Participants in this collaboration include multiple dancers from musicians, directors, and filmmakers to discuss the possibilities of Zoom being used to create art. In collaboration with Chelsea Hilding Greensboro, NC , Entry One is an exploratory film of the tussling embodiment and entrapment of the female body. This film will continue in multiple entries and eventually a larger performance.

Netflix has brought back the beloved animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" as a live-action show. The original "Avatar," which premiered in , ran for three seasons on Nickelodeon. It takes place in a world divided into four nations — the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads — where certain people have the ability to manipulate one of the four elements. The show follows Aang, a young airbender who is also the Avatar, the single person with the ability to bend all four elements and a responsibility to restore balance to the world. The live-action show follows the same plot, starring young actor Gordon Cormier as Aang and Kiawentiio and Ian Ousley as his travel companions, siblings Katara and Sokka. While there are some differences between the live-action and the cartoon, the show features plenty of easter eggs for the broader "Avatar" universe. Aang is the titular last airbender and the Avatar tasked with restoring balance to a war-stricken world. Yue is the princess of the Northern Water Tribe, and was blessed by the moon spirit at a young age.
