The inflation leads to his body becoming akin to that of a giant and the power that he generates with this Gear is absolutely immense.
Even Charlotte Cracker, a pirate worth million berries, could not penetrate its defenses and was sent flying, being defeated in a single blow. As the name indicates, Tankman is a very tanky version of Gear 4th and sees Luffy inflate his muscles to the point where he is almost obese-looking, all luffy transformations.
