We chatted with Taylor recently to learn more about this multitalented individual.
Really, it all started when Alex was just a few weeks old! The whole, "it's in your blood" thing? Yeah, that applies here! From the time she was just a few weeks old, Alex spent the majority of her time at the shop, espeically growing up, as she watched her dad while he worked, and helped when she could! At the age of 15, Alex and her parents began to build her car and at 16 her and her mom took it on Drag Week , and as they say, the rest is history!! Alex's passion for the high performance automtovie industry continues to grow.

We caught up to Alex barely following her six-second performance at Sick Week. We came in and tested and it started off good the first couple passes and then we had so many random issues. So we decided to put old trusty the transmission back in. We fixed it finally, but we went into Sick Week not knowing what to expect. And then on Monday we ran our first pass and I went out…basically I ran like a second pass and the day went so slow and we had an electrical issue. And he was like a 6. And it was like just a killer start to the week for the issues that we had. And I gave Steve Morris a big old bear hug. So it was just so rewarding for so many reasons. It was a really big deal!

Alex Taylor has been working towards a meaningful career in the automotive world, even before she knew what that might include. That was normal for me. As she progresses in the sport, she insists on continually learning and being as involved as possible on the mechanical end. I just wanted to do something. I want to know how it works and why it works, not just hop in it and drive. I just love to learn about it.
