Great place, very central location and we loved the support from staff, had an event on in Brisbane and check out was 10am. Our bags were looked after until the end of the day so we could go home! If your child is in hospital there are a range of accommodation options available if you need to stay with, or close to your child. You may be able to stay in hospital overnight with your child. They can give you information about other accommodation options. Parents and carers can't stay overnight in the intensive care unit. But we have a limited number of single overnight rooms on Level 5 that can be used in an emergency. Ask our nursing staff about these rooms if you think you might need one. There are accommodation options available if you live outside Brisbane and need long-term accommodation while your child is having treatment. If you live in a rural and remote area, and have to travel more than 50 km to your local public hospital, you may be eligible for the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme. It helps with travel and accommodation costs for patients who need to use specialist medical services that aren't available in their local area. Find out if you're eligible on the Queensland Government website. The PTSS subsidises the following accommodation, you only need to pay the gap fee. This is the difference between the amount the accommodation costs, and the amount the PTSS pays. If your child is being treated for cancer the following services may also be able to help you with accommodation. One of the best things about the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital is that it is situated so close to the city centre and the popular suburbs of Fortitude Valley and Spring Hill, meaning that there is plenty of apartment accommodation located close by. This accommodation includes a range of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom self contained apartments to suit any budget. When you stay in one of the nearby serviced apartments for either a long or short term will be able to enjoy the convenience of extra space and your own cooking facilities for the same price as a standard hotel room.

Lukus Cannon Definitely would recommend the Annexe Apartments — friendly reception, beautiful clean rooms with full kitchen, dishwasher, oven, stove top, washing machine and dryer and only metres away from the hospital. Parking has been available and easily accessible. Its a short hop to the Valley and all the yummy food.

The hospital has a range of shops and services for people to access. Cafes, food and drink outlets on campus are available for visitors and staff to purchase meals and refreshments.
