Emergency services were called to Mona Vale Road, Ingleside about pm on Sunday after receiving multiple reports of a major collision. The driver of the ute, a year-old man, and his year-old female passenger were removed from the car and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics. They were both then conveyed to Royal North Shore Hospital in St Leonards with the driver suffering head injuries while the woman was in a stable condition. The year-old driver of the sedan has been arrested by officers and was taken to the Manly Police Station for further inquiries. Both lanes on Mona Vale Road between Powderworks Road and Mccars Creek Road have been closed as a result of the incident causing significant delays for motorists. Buses have also been significantly hindered as a result of the incident with all services on route starting and ending in Terry Hills. They collided head-on, with driver side impact, causing significant damage to both vehicles and trapping a couple in their 70s.
