I am looking for which terminals lead to on the mower and also what pins should have continuity in each switch position. I have checked other components on the mower and everything seems fine and it looks like the switch is the problem. However the replacement switch when checked with a meter does the same thing as the old one and it appears that the new switch is bad as well.
