Easter Island, March , and grave robbers steal a powerful, magical tablet in a cave. The tablet breaks into three and all hell breaks loose in the cave, but not before one bit of the tablet is snatched away. It was August , just before the end of World War Two. All I knew was what I'd been told … report to a secret air base and fly an American plane to Washington…. Boarding the plane, along with a mysterious box containing precious cargo, is the Rev. Mitchell Simon Chilvers , a man who knows an unclerical lot about all kinds of black magic and potent superstitions and the force that controls the entire universe, General Hackett Simon Scott and his aide Logan Wayne Cull , while Harris is obliged to share the Dakota's controls with his old enemy, the blonde, devious Squadron Leader Savage Max Phipps. Next Harris turns up just in time at the national museum where Melanie is being threatened by thugs, and the plunging lift of doom …. The pair steal a plane to go in search of Melanie's dad, but a fighter plane turns up to riddle the fuselage with bullets, forcing Harris out on to the wing of the Dakota to put out an engine fire.
