Nicola Glencross born 21 April is a Scottish professional wrestler. During her first years with the company, she worked on the NXT brand as part of the stable Sanity. Her first character gimmick was that of a psychopathic and unhinged woman who would suffer mood swings. Cross was promoted to the main roster in December From June to October , Glencross' character became a faux-inspired superhero known as Nikki A. In , she reverted back to the Nikki Cross name and persona. Nicola Glencross was born and raised in Glasgow , Scotland [9] and graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Bachelor of Arts [10] and obtained her Master's degree from the University of Edinburgh.

She made her debut for the SmackDown brand in In her last few years in WWE, she only made sporadic appearances, but acted as an ambassador for the company. After her contract with WWE expired in , she and Brie announced that they would be retiring the "Bella" surname and would be returning to their legal maiden name of "Garcia" professionally, and reintroduced themselves as The Garcia Twins. While Cross initially appeared distraught by the loss of her friendship with Bliss, she seemingly embraced a positive new outlook, donning colorful superhero-like attire for a series of wins. And those heights took her into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match where she rose above seven top-notch competitors to seize the coveted contract. The determined Superstar didn't wait long to make the most of her opportunity, as she cashed in the following night on Charlotte Flair to usher in her first reign as Raw Women's Champion. Nikki would turn her back on Ripley in early , however, and forge a new villainous path.

But how did she become the recognizable star that she is today? She dominated the Women's division and helped inspire a new generation of females in wrestling that put more emphasis on talent than looks. In August of on an episode of "Smackdown," Brie debuted in a winning effort against Victoria. Over the course of the next few weeks, Brie would have a series of matches against both Victoria and Natalya. During those matches, Brie would roll underneath the ring when she was in danger of losing and seemed to reemerge as a totally healthy and recharged version of herself. During an October episode of "Smackdown," both Nikki and Brie were pulled out from under the ring proving that there were indeed two identical Bella Twins. The duo attacked Natalya and Victoria and were triumphant in their debut tag-team match against them. Throughout the next few years, the Bellas were involved in various on-screen romance storylines with the likes of the Colons, John Morrison, The Miz , and Daniel Bryan. In February of , Nikki picked up her first major win when she won a Battle Royale to become the number one contender for the Divas Championship. Although she went on to lose the match to Eve Torres the following month, she helped her sister win the Championship the next week.
