Is Minthara still bugged? Joined: Oct Terrikus OP. I know there was a hotfix to restore all her dialogue, but ever since I rescued her in Act 2, she has surprisingly little to say, is minthara bugged.

Baldur's Gate 3's next big patch is releasing soon, and by all accounts it will be a chonky one , featuring a host of performance improvements and other fixes. There's still work to be done though, including addressing Minthara , who has been hobbled by what director Swen Vincke describes as a "very, very stupid bug. Speaking with IGN, Vincke talked about how the scope of Baldur's Gate 3 can cause cascading reactions that can sometimes lock out content by accident. Such is the case with Baldur's Gate 3's drow murderess. And so that felt like the content was not showing up.

The bug appears to kick in during Act 3, with one player documenting that the relationship came to an end as soon as Minthara declared her love for their character. After that conversation, they say that all romance-specific dialogue options disappeared, essentially making them single without warning. A recent datamine revealed that the next patch might add more kissing animations. Hopefully, this means Minthara romancers will get something to keep them going too. Patch 4 seems to have done little to alleviate this. The whole ordeal has left Minthara romancers feeling slighted. You have to sacrifice a whole lot to have her in your party in the first place, since you have to hand over the location of the refugee camp to the Goblins. This will result in them raiding it in the name of the Absolute, slaughtering anyone in their path. Which, uh, includes a lot of refugees. And children. Child refugees. Still, patches have added more content to the other romances, so not all hope is lost yet. With any luck, the Minthara path will be fleshed out further down the line, giving us a better reward for ignoring our moral compass entirely. I mean, just look at her. Sorry, tieflings.

During this story arc, you had a choice of killing or siding with her. If you were one of the people who wanted to know more about Minthara or wanted to romance her, you may have let her live. This route should have led you to learn more about her backstory. But, if you were like me and killed her, you may have skipped this entirely. This was all well and good, but those who did want to learn more about her were finding they too were accidentally locked out of around 1, lines of Minthara story content because of a BG3 bug related to a series of reactions.

Baldur's Gate 3 has undergone several changes to its romances and how the romance - and by extension, approval - system works. First, it was too easy to start romances, to the point that every companion wanted to be with Tav, and some had a hard time accepting that they didn't win Tav's heart. However, even after the fixes that have been implemented up to this point, not every romance in BG3 is in proper working order. Baldur's Gate 3 made changes and updates across the board since its launch, and while that's led to a much smoother gameplay experience, it still isn't perfect in some aspects. However, the issues that pop up in certain romances aren't consistent , and that makes them more difficult to navigate without an official patch. In the meantime, some Tavs have gotten creative in the ways they romance - and even recruit - Minthara in a good playthrough. At first, Minthara could only be recruited by siding with the Goblin Leaders and attacking the Emerald Grove. The only exception to this was through the use of specific workarounds to recruit Minthara in Baldur's Gate 3. However, the workaround required a lot of extra steps, leading to later glitches since Minthara and Halsin weren't meant to be in camp at the same time during that version of the game. This was later patched in Patch 5, and Halsin and Minthara can coexist in camp as long as the Emerald Grove survives.
